Amazing script and how generous and kind you are to display it - you are obviously more concerned about the fruition and continuance of quality writing and truth.

I am among the members of the first generation to have this movie available all my life. It arrived on the planet in what? 1946. Just in time to provide a simple and effective example for all of us. It is the "Feel Good" movie of a lifetime for babyboomers and everyone ever after.

I love this movie. It is my favorite movie of all time, and I watch it at least once a year. Thank you for publishing the screenplay online. It made me cry just reading it through- it is so moving and wonderful.

WL has always been one of my favorite movies and I never tire watching it. When I was 14 I discovered that I could impersonate James stewart quite well. Today, more than 50 years later I still watch WL every year and I am sure no one can do a better vocal impression of James Stewart and a good Lionel Barrymore and a reasonable Sheldon Leonard(Nick the bartender). I am so impressed by the perfect casting of each character and the beautiful ensemble work director Frank Capra gets from his cast. Even the town of Bedford Falls seems like its a living character and the art direction, dressing up Bedford Falls, for a snowy xmas is terrific. Thanks for making script available.

There is no film quite as fantastic as 'It's a Wonderful Life'. A beautiful script from Goodrich/Hackett and of course Frank Capra, the magician. The person who can turn Phillip Van Doren Stern's short story 'The Greatest Gift' into a masterpiece. And of course let's not forget Jo Swerling for the additional scenes that made the movie an American classic. Acting was another grand part of the story. Full of great actors such as Ward Bond, Todd Karns, W. Be. Warner, Thomas Mitchell, Gloria Grahame, Frank Faylen and Frank Alberson. But the performances from James Stewart, Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore and Henry Travers were Oscar bound. Even if 'IAWL' didn't win any Oscars, it is still the most powerful and most celebrated movie of all time.

This is one of the best films I've seen and a simple beautiful script that I've read. This script is so precise that it makes me remember every scene like a video running in my head, hats off to the writer. Thanks IMSDb for the script.
